Cherry Class trip to Sutton Hoo
Cherry Class had a great day at Sutton Hoo. We spent time looking at the artefacts in the exhibition and looking for the answers to the questions in our activity booklet. We were taken on a tour to the mounds - we got to stand right beside the ship burial mound! We ended our visit with some archeology. As we dug down through the layers we found artefacts from different periods of history and finally we found some Anglo- Saxon jewellery, weapons and pots.
"I really enjoyed looking for the artefacts in the sand tray"
"I was surprised at how big the ship burial was"
"It was amazing to see the artefacts we had looked at in pictures in real life!"
Anglo-Saxon homework project
This is a photo of us all showing our Anglo-Saxon homework. We had fun making lots of the artefacts and making a museum label for them.
